WIN £100 TOWARDS YOUR NEXT SHORTFILM

Recently, due to the current global situation, the Napier film-making society has had to cancel an upcoming screening of some of our short films. This is only one drop in the ocean of changes we are all having to make to our regular lives, but welcomed with open arms if it reduces the risk of people suffering from this brutal disease.

It is at times like this, however, when it is incredibly important that we choose to adopt a little bit of hope and a find a lot of distractions. With that in mind the Napier Film-making Society are excited to announce, “The Film Festival of Solitude”.

The Film Festival of Solitude is a film festival unlike all others. We are asking everyone and anyone who has a passion for film and a dislike for boredom to create “self-isolated” short films (rules are on the submission page) and submit them before the 5pm deadline on the 4th of May 2020.

An online screening of our six favourite short films, presented by our president with the help of a few special guests, will then take place on the 9th of May at 7pm via facebook live. During which we will be announcing our favourite film and the recipient of our £100 grant toward their next short film. We will also be asking for donations towards the Salvation Army, a charity that is there to help those in need at this frightening time.

All films submitted to the festival will be proudly displayed on our dedicated website where you will also find the link to our justgiving page, with all proceed going towards Salvation Army.
